I am dressing - Is that wrong? If so could you please explain as to why?
I am getting dressed - Is this the proper way? Like the same why should I tell "I am getting my mobile charged" ?

No. To dress is a verb. I am dressing - is the present progressive tense.

My mobile is getting charged. This is informally OK, but not good for formal writing. The verb "get" is overused. It is better to use the right verb to be precise. Better: My mobile is charging. (Charge is a verb. It means to put electricity into the battery. It also means to spend money by using a credit card. And it has other meanings too.)
