Help me with the answers to "Could you close the door, please?"

Dear experts,

Please help me with the ways of answering that kind of questions: Could you...?

Is it possible to say : Yes, I can / No, I can't ?

If that's one way of answering that kind of questions, please reassure me that I can use it.

Thank you so much for help!

Take care.

In a simple question context, could is often used as a slightly more polite form of can.

But we usually answer the question in the same way that it was asked.

Yes, you can use that, but be aware that a great many "Could you ...?" questions are veiled commands for you to do something non-verbal. Answering "Yes, I can/could" without acting to fulfill the request would be somewhat rude.
