Help me with an expression!

Hi, I have a question. I heard an expression today: "One week down". What exactly it means? One week has past or I've wasted one week? It wasn't really clear by the context.

Top answer

Probably it means that one week of a multi-week period has elapsed. e. three more weeks of whatever it is.

Probably it means that one week of a multi-week period has elapsed. A common continuation would be, e.g., "One week down, and three to go!", i.e. three more weeks of whatever it is.
