The column chart compares four countries namely Great Britain, USA, Germany and France in terms of the transport preferences among youngsters.
Overall, cars are the most preferred vehicles in 4 cities except Germany. Motorcycle, in contrast, is the least favoured option.
Specifically, of the four countries compared, the ratio of young people in France using cars is the highest, which accounts for over 70%. Meanwhile, it is reckoned to be the same at 60% in both Great Britain and the USA. However, standing at 40%, this rate is the lowest in Germany, where the majority of youngsters prefer bicycles.
Turning to the other 2 options, in Germany and Great Britain, the rate of youngs choosing bicycles stands at 43% and 29% respectively; while only about 10% of them are inclined to use this means of vehicle in the USA and France. In contrast, this figure for motorcycles in Great Britain, Germany and France accounts for a fraction that ranges from 10% to 20% and reaches a peak at 30% in the USA.
