Task: governmant should spend money on railways rather roads.
To what extent do you agree or disagree with the statement
It is argued that national and local authorities should allocate more resources to railways instead of roadways. While I accept that rail systems bring tremendous benefits to the development of a nation, I would indicate that road systems also play an indispensable part in a country‘s economy.
On the one hand, constructing new rail systems is likely to be a wise choice for the authorities for outstanding reasons. Firstly, lawmakers may encourage people to travel by this mode of transportation as the railways are safe and economic. Interestingly, this means of transportation is less likely to get congestion, even in rush hours. The most essential reason for this convenience is that the lines are put priority on getting involved in traffic flows as they are constructed on their ways saparated from other forms. Moreover, it is cost- effective for citizens to commute every day in a long journey. Finally, the government should invest more funds in erecting this kind of line since it can carry thousand tons of goods at the same time; therefore, it saves the expense of transporting, which may bring investors more profit.
On the other hand, the authorities ought to put a considerable amount of budget on building new highway systems. It is convenient for visitors to come and pick up a wide variety of vehicles travelling on roads such as private cars, taxi or public transportation. Furthermore, investing in expressways may make travelling easier and faster.
In conclusion, whereas some people believe that the local authorities should put more funds into line systems, I would indicate that each of the system has its own advantages, and the government should prioritize on on both systems.
