Help me sovle a riddle

no need to look high
this key is on a trip
but not to the sky
engineers are degreed
after they open a book
but scavengers are smart
when all they do is look,
people jog by couples hand in hand
concerts rock where pirate ships land
ribbons go around, it makes us sad
for souls we lost, it makes us mad
look for red next to gold
there lies a key, or so im told.
