Help me solve this question

Q: Choose the correct sentence
Wind/carry/many/seed/island
A. Winds carry many seeds to islands
B.Wind carries many seeds to islands
C. Winds carry many the seed to an island
D. Wind carry many of seeds to the islands
I choose B, but the correction is A. I don't understand. Please explain it to me. Thanks very much!

I agree completely, but that seems to be what differentiates answer B from answer A,only one of which was considered to be correct.
