Help me solve this question

Q: . ________, "Alice in the Wonderland" appeals to many adult readers, too.
A. Though for children written B. Though written for children C. Though it written for children D. It was written for children
According to me, the answer is D because in the sentence starts with ''although....'' there's no ''too'' in the last part of sentence. But the correction is B. I don't know why. Please explain it to me. thanks!
