Help me solve this question

I think:

This is the Simple past, action is happening when another action interjected.

In here : She must have been in the garage is happening. => is the action came before => choose have been
we came is the action came after.

Well, I only meet the structure must have v3 used to guess something happened in the past. I have ever known the structure must have v_ing. It's so....extraordinary

you're right, to some extent, Cherry. But the grammar point is always must have v3 (following to what I have studied).
