Can someone explain the difference..I might be stupid but pls help me..

1)he dosen't know it is a trap, so he went through it

2)he dosen't know it is a not trap, so he went through it

Well, they are simply opposite premises, but the second one makes no semantic sense, since I would have thought that he wouldn't have gone through it if he had thought it was a trap.

Well, they are simply opposite premises, but the second one makes no semantic sense, since I would have thought that he wouldn't have gone through it if he had thought it was a trap.

It is very curious. Did you mean 'he doesn't know it is not a trap', Gary? (Or is
'a not trap' some kind of technical term, like 'a not gate'? he hazarded wildly...)
