Some people think that instead of preventing climate change, we need to find a way to live with it. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Climate change is an alarming problem that is threatening human lives. Nevertheless, some people believe that adapting to the increasing temperature is a better way rather than dealing with it. I strongly disagree with such a view.
To commence, I believe that there are several reasons for the government and individuals to prevent climate change, or at least reduce its negative impact. The government can impose more taxes on drivers and factories, also, it is necessary to expand and encourage citizens to use modes of public transportation instead of private transport to reduce gas and carbon dioxide emissions. Moreover, they could invest in natural energy production, such as wind, solar and water power, which could prevent the run out of non-renewable resources. As individuals, we should understand the danger of the devastating environment and be aware of environmental protection. For instance, participating in some “zero waste“ campaigns and using biodegradable products rather than plastic bags.
Besides, trying to live with climate crisis instead of dealing with it, I think the consequences will be disastrous. It is an unavoidable truth that human cause climate change. If we just adapt to the change in temperature, air, and water and do not find a solution to cope with, it will result in the loss of natural habitat, such as the marine environment because of water pollution. Furthermore, deforestation and the disposal of waste cause soil pollution, which results in erosion, drought, and other disasters that put human life and wildlife at risk of extinction.
To conclude, it is clear to me that we must take the issue seriously and address the danger of climate change, also I totally disagree with the viewpoint of those living in the crisis.
