Question : Some people think young people are not suitable for important positions in the government, others think it is a good idea for young people to take on these positions. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Machinery of government plays a very important role in the national development, for this reason, some people argue that the fully experienced people are more appropriate than the young to engage in the state-owned sector. Nevertheless, others believe that young people can bring many benefits to a country if they take on critical positions. From my perspective, I agree with the latter view.

On the one hand, fundamental positions should be occupied by experienced and older candidates. It is believed that a novice is likely to make a detrimental decision because of the lack of practical experience and flexible solutions in the field. As a consequence, a wrong measure might put a nation under risk and affect a resident’s life. That is why most administrators and authorizes in many counties used to the older generation rather than the younger one. In addition, novice seems to less persuasive and unreliable to citizens in case they take essential measures to some policies or solutions for an issue. Hence, some members of the public believe that the personalities of young people are probably spontaneous and high self-esteem, which make it hard to evaluate a specific difficulty.

On the other hand, I contend that the young is suitable for political positions. At first, in a contemporary world, the creativity and enthusiasm of the young are more likely to benefit for a nation to incorporate new things and modify plausible regulations. In particular, the renovation is one of a key to develop a country to be better. Secondly, younger’s thoughts are usually more open-minded and groundbreaking, while the prior generation is supposed to be more maintained and stereotypical to tackle an issue. Moreover, government jobs generally require rigorous screening based on different criteria and if the youth is successful in passing out those that there is no harm in awarding important government jobs for youth aspirants.

To conclude, although others argue that it is a disadvantage for a nation to allow young people to work in a critical position, I personally think a person’s age should not be a factor to discriminate them from awarding government jobs.
