This is a journal i wrote.The subject is about a powerful speaker.so I talk about Kerry!


The powerful speaker I have found is Sen.John Kerry. Obviously he is non-Chinese. Why I chose him? It’s all because of his last 3 debates with President Bush. I think I am fascinated with him.

Firstly, he is a gentleman. He keeps polite even if his counterworker Bush talked about something vicious to him. Be calm and keep polite is the key point to be a powerful speaker I think. In this point Kerry has done a good job.

Second, he is nimble in devising or understanding. You know, it is a tensional process during a debate. Sometimes the counterworker’s comment is fatal. You have to rescue youself in a very short time. So did Kerry. He is a knowledgeable guy. He can understand the information and bear a new point of view rapidly. And this did win more applause for him.
Finally, I love his accent. Compared with President Bush, his speech is easily understood by our English learners. That’s important for a speaker. You should have your comments understood easilier. Kerry speaked clearly and powerful. Maybe that’s what “project” mean.
Kerry has done a good job during his last 3 debates. It also has proved that Kerry is a powerful speaker.
