Some people think that strict punishments for driving offences are the key to reducing traffic accidents Others, however, believe that other measures would be more effective in improving road safety. Discuss both these views and five your own opinion.
-------------
People have different views about how to prevent driving offences efficiently. While some people argue that severe punishments are the main solution for the problem, I believe that there are other measures to improve the safety of road.

There are a few reasons why some people think that strict punishments would substantially reduce traffic accidents. Firstly, they argue that it is the most effective way to control the transportation system as well as certain difficulties related to it. Secondly, it is thought that punishments could deter lawbreakers from similar behaviors by directly affect their benefits such as money, time and even reputation. They think that those examples could act as a deterrence in order for potential driving offenders not to break the law in the future.

On the other hand, I believe that punishment is not the only way for this challenge and there are better approaches. Punishments could cause aggressive attitudes which are likely to lead to negative consequences. For example, lawbreakers might oppose and physically attack the police officials. Besides, there is not existing an only method that is the most optimum solution for the problem. Punishment, like everything, has its own strengths and downsides. Finally, I think that education could be a relatively radical measure to solve this problem. It is clear that teaching a child what is right and wrong is much easier than changing an adult's mind.

In conclusion, I support the idea that driving offences should not be handled by strict punishments while there are many better measures.

I do not understand why you highlight the phrase " It is clear that teaching a child what is right and wrong is much easier than changing an adult's mind. "

I suggest you rewrite that essay and elaborate on the points you want to make; give some specific examples if you can. Were you given a word limit for it?
