She Made Me Not a Happy Man 2005/9/28

I have so many questions about english.
Maybe you'll say, "you could ask your English teacher for help."
I can give you a certain answer, I did. But it didn't work at all.

This is my English teacher, she's not happy when people angainst her proffession which is called English.(She's an ESL learner, too.)
What made me so angry is that she always want us to translate Chinese-English word by word and if our answer is not as same as the "standar answer" then you can't get any point at all.

thx in advance

"too" and "so" are similar, but "too" includes impossibility That bag is TOO heavy, I CANNOT carry it. "so" often precedes a condition using "that". That store is SO far away THAT we will need to take the express train in order to get there before it closes.

Hi Whatup,

I'd say 'She made me an unhappy man'.

I'm sorry you are having problems with your English teacher.

Best wishes, Clive
