Help me correct my essay, please!!!

Governments should spend money on railways rather than roads. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Both roads and railways are tools to support in transferring of passengers and goods effectively. However, I agree that we would prefer to concern on building railways systems and I will show my opinion in this essay.

No one can deny that developing roads is the meaning of decreasing individual vehicles. Nevertheless, if governments construct many large streets, the residents would like to use own car to travel because they do not mind about traffic jam and using own vehicles is also more convenient. As a result, we have to be faced to many environmental problems such as air pollution which can be more serious because of the increase in the rate of carbon dioxide released into the air. On the other hand, railways may help governments to deal with those problems are mentioned above. Having a modern railways systems may encourage inhabitants to use public transports. Therefore, traffic congestion may be improved and carbon dioxide which causes the warm surface and greenhouse effect can be reduced.

In addition, Railways are an indispensable factor to build a well developed and modern countries. Railways may help people save time and expenses in traveling. For instance, if you go to school by railways, you will just pay a little amount for fee and the speed of railways is faster than the speed of cars.

In conclusion, I think spending money on railways rather than roads is more economic and effective for the development of countries
