Some people like to travel outside their country. Others would rather travel to tourist spots in their own country first, before travelling abroad. Which do you prefer to do and why? Include specific details and examples to support your choice.

Today, travelling is one of the most ways humans choose for their enjoyment. While touring a foreign country is likely on many personal plans, some people prefer to take a trip locally which is dependent on their budget and love towards their nation. In my opinion, both the options are worthwhile, but before opting for international tourism, an individual should explore his own state first.

There could be many reasons to go to different locations in their own land before travelling to another realm. First and foremost, the main cause of this is to gain a prior experience of tours within the own zone. In continuation to this notion, it stands a good chance of communicating with people of a similar culture and it is comparatively easier to make arrangements of a trip around their own country. Subsequently, it would facilitate to get a help in case of an emergency by interacting in a regional language. For example, on a trip to Berlin, if a tourist is stuck at some places surrounded by local people who can speak the only German language. In these cases, a native speaker can get help effortlessly. If it is possible for people to broaden their horizons when being on domestic tourism, it will pave the way for them to travel to other countries.

Moreover, the domestic mode of transportation is more economical than international flights, time as well as energy. Besides, currency values of some countries are lesser than other countries like 1 USD costs around 23 thousand Vietnam dong.

To recapitulate, in my opinion, domestic travel first would prove very beneficial for international trips. Local tours can give an experience of time and expense management which could be used in preparing for long distance trips.
