A: It would seem that he’s been working on the project for years. ?
B: A lockdown would seem imminent if the Omicron Corona variant were more dangerous than the delta variant. ?

Are the sentences A and B correct? “would” in sentence A is not conditional and “would” in sentence B is conditional. Am I right
