Thanks again, but I have some questions about these exercises: 11)Why we use "she" among "had" and "been"? 12)Could we write also "what caused John's dismissal from his job"? 20)Why we write "did he go in" and not "went in"?
11)Why we use "she" among "had" and "been"? -- Because there is a negative or negative-like phrase ('no sooner') at the front of the sentence. Ask your teacher about 'subject-verb inversion with fronted negative adverbials'. This is the same for #20.
12)Could we write also "what caused John's dismissal from his job"? -- Yes, that would be fine, too. 20)Why we w
