Each of these questions seems to involve a different kind of answer. I find it hard to see what you are intended to learn from completing this test. Do you think your exam will deal specifically with these various matters?
In other words, do you think it will be a big help to you if we give you the answers and then you study them?
I don't know, thing is I don't know how to transform it. For instance, in the first sentence, they said "under no circumstances" and required us to change in to a sentence begins with "the last".That's the problem, as I don't know what they really want; the last solution is to call the police, or the last thing to do is not even calling the police? I don't get it, and I'm so confused!
I have almost done with my homework, but I really don't have a clue to transform these complicated sentences into another (well, complicating to me of course ^^). Could anybody help me plz, juz a clue?
1.Under no circumstances should you phone the police.
- The last thing you should do is call the police.
Ah, thks Clive. I'm stil at the base, I guess ^^. Anw, about these exercises, I myself think that these questions don't do any good, it's just that our teacher gave us a heap of exercise and told us that if we came back after the holiday with any blank in our homework, we would be beheaded. Indeed, I don't think I'm gonna use these knowledge in real life, it's just an expansion of my knowledge ^^
