There have been many people who have influenced me and those who have set great examples in my life. Many of those people were teachers that I have had from Kindergarten to the present time. If I had to choose one who has had the greatest influence, it would have to be Miss Nawal who was my high school Arabic teacher. She was an excellent and fabulous teacher. She has made an impact on my life , because she had motivation, enthusiasm and confidence in teaching.
One reason why Miss. Nawa was my favorite teacher is because of her characteristics of being a good Muslim . She was always kind, thoughtful, and generous. She continually listened to what we had to say. At the end of each class, if time permitted and if there were people who wanted to, we would have a little show and tell time. Being that we were attending a arabic class, the only things that we could show and tell were things dealing with arabic . She always took the time to listen to our thoughts and was never impatient with us, and for that I am very grateful.
She was always in a good mood and kept us laughing .She was really young so she acted as teenagers which made learning fun ,If we needed to talk to an adult about problem we always know we could come to her and she could help . She added a fun twist on learning which made the topic easy to understand.
She is very passion for knowledge so she can Keeps up in her specialty areas. And she takes knowledge and translates it to students in a way which is comprehensible to them. She is motivation in teaching so it helped me to enjoy and do well in her class. Furthermore her enthusiasm and confidence in doing what she loved made her class easy to understand.
Her enthusiasm never wore out. We could all see that she loved what she was doing. On occasion, she would quote from something and laugh ... and the times when we didn't get it and we wanted to know badly enough, we would ask her what was so funny, and sometimes she would reveal it and other times she would laugh again and say, "You'll know some day."
