Help -It is correct "went sold"?

Please it is correct to say: "The apatment went sold."

more examples:

I lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a few years. They call apartments 'flats' too. It is the only place in the US that I've seen this.

Sorry, we got on a tanget. I would never say 'went sold'. I would say that it 'was sold'.
