help helpful

I don't know John's birthday. So for you to tell me your mom's birthday is the same as John's.

Are both these natural? How would you say each?
That's just not helpful/That's not [of] a lot of help.

Thanks

Should I insert? on the same?
I don't know John's birthday. So for you to tell me your mom's birthday is ON THE SAME DAY as John's.

Isn't it correct to say 'be of help'?
If so than why is 'That's not of a lot of help' incorrect?

Thanks

The first of is wrong. Be of help, not be of of help.
