Help help !! what would it be or what it would be

when and where we use 'what would it be and what it would be' is there any difference in this two sentence!
OR
can we say it like : what'd it be / what it'd be ?

The first is a question. The second only works embedded in another sentence. I don't know what it would be.

The first is a question.
The second only works embedded in another sentence. I don't know what it would be. I can't tell yet what it would be.

I would not contract the first. You might PRONOUNCE the second with the contracted form, but don't write it that way.
