Help!! Grammer questions!!

The boy has a decoration attached on his bag, which looks great.

Does decoration looks great or bag does?

He ____the platform,then fell and fell____the ground.
A.jumped from,on
B.jumped off,into
C.jumped off,toward

The answer is A, but I don't know why C is not correct

Broadly speaking, any preposition is grammatically correct there, even if it makes no sense. Meaning and grammar are two different things.
