Help! Dialogues! (4/50)

1

A:I will miss you.

B:Don’t forget to drop me a line when you are free.

2

A:I received a Christmas card from Greg. He is really sweet.

B:He always is.

A:Are you in touch with him after he went back to Australia?

B:Yes, he sometimes drops me a line and tell me how he’s getting on at his new university.

3

A:Why do you oppose the proposal? Give me a reason.

B:I can’t say it exactly. But I’m sure there is something fishy.

4

A:Have you noticed it? There is something fishy about Steve and his people.

B:Yes, every time I passed by they would stop (or?) they stopped talking immediately.

A:And the secretary told me that Steve was in boss’ office the whole morning yesterday. It seems Steve’s team can never learn how to act aboveboard.

B:Well, let’s just ignore them and focus on our own work.

Hi, would you please help me with the dialogues above and check:

1. Are the expressions in bold type in active use by native speakers today?

2. Do the dialogues sound natural and like real English?

3. Do the situations created in the dialogues make sense to you?

Thank you very much!
