help creating cover email for job application

Hi.

I am currently writing a cover email for my job application. specifically the email, not cover letter or CV, they are attached.

Currently I have this:

Dear Sirs,

I am applying for the position of ***.
I am herewith submitting my curriculum vitae and cover letter under attachment for your perusal.

yours faithfully
me

Things I don't like:
I am ... twice. Could you help me find something better?
One option would be:
"Herewith I am submitting...."

Don't spend much time worrying about the email. The only people who are going to look at it are those responsible for directing your CV to the right place. Make sure your attachments are numbered (if they run to multiple pages), and that each page has your name on it.

  • As for the email -- 1.
