Help contribute to

Hi~ the phrase in red seems to be awkward to me because the meanings of "help" and "contribut to" are same.

Is the expression natural and does it have no problem?

In this context, I don't understand who should help and who should contribute?

Any idea would be welcomed and appreciated.

Thanks~

It is time to face the fact that education plays a role in social learning. Educators cannot say we are
teaching life lessons and preparing students for the future on one hand and protest against having to address matters that go beyond formal instruction. Children learn many things concerning life at school. Schools
need to embrace education on eating, take control of developing good eating practices while at school, and help contribute to healthy eating lifestyles that are good for the human brain.
