Help

They just turned down our purposal. It would suggest that we are going to be stuck for a while.

They just turned down our purposal. It would mean that we are going to be stuck for a while.

Are they both correct sentences?


To me the first sentence is correct and it is the same as "It suggests that..." and I doubt on the second sentence. What do you think?
