Help

I need halp here and I don't even know how to say that How to say that sentence. But I will use a situation that might help you people to understand.
1.My friend told me" I keep these birds in a dark room for 6 hours a day in temperature of 36 digree ."
Now here I want to say him that his birds maybe die, I dont know how I explain. I mean to say his birds mybe die when he keep them in room.
Please help me how to say him that his birds have died or have been dying ,I want say it like a anticipation. Or a guess
