Hi everyone. Do you know the meaning of this sentence; 'you are running the riso of becoming a laughing stock'. Is there another way to express the same concept?
Thanks to all in advance

Top answer

Run the risk of doing something is to set oneself up to some sort of failure or other uncomfortable situation. A person is a laughing stock if everyone involved finds him to be ridiculous or silly. Suggestion (if really needed): You know, everyone will be laughing at you if you do that.
