"Help!"
Regarding the lyric "Help!" of The Beatles:
1."And now my life has changed in oh so many ways, my independence seems to vanish in the haze. But every now and then I feel so insecure, I know that I just need you like I've never done before."
1-1. I think "And" can also be used instead of "But" since both "And now my life..." and "every now and then..." are negative sentences. Is it correct?
1-2. I am not sure why "like" is used there. Would it be wrong to use "though" instead?
2."And I do appreciate you being 'round"
Can I also say "And I do appreciate it if you are around", or "And I do appreciate your being around"? instead?
3. "Help me get my feet back on the ground"
Does the phrase mean such as "Help me get my independence back"?

I have been a Beatles fan for years. That being said, the lyrics of many of their songs are not gramamtically explainable. They are sort of beautifully abstact, the kind that we truly apprecite over the decades.
