Hi everybody,

may anyone tell me if saying that is correct or not:

"I might have understood you've already been to the United States. If so, did you enjoy your trip?"

Is anything wrong with the tenses?

The first part seems wrong. I don't understand what you mean, particularly by 'I might have understood'. C

Sorry, this is such a big mistake. In fact, it would be "I understand you've been to the United States. Did you enjoy your trip." instead. Indeed, I think this sounds much better. Anyway, thanks for replying my question.
