What is the pronunciation of `of`? Does the `f` sound like a `v` or an `f`?

And how the about the `f` in `of course`?

Thank you.

It always sounds like / v / in the word 'of' if it sounds at all. Sometimes it is silent, as in casual utterance of such phrases as a cup of coffee : 'a cupp a coffee'.
