I don't know where to put tjis, but can someone correct this letter?
I hope so, Thanks
Dear Rachel
How are you doing? I’m doing fine. I have celebrated Christmas with my family last week. I really enjoyed it. In the Netherlands we celebrate Christmas with very much food, that’s a tradition. A Christmas meal is most an extensive meal that is consumed often together with family. The meat court can be with chicken or turkey, but also rabbit or roe.
Thanks for your Christmas greetings. The picture on the front of the card was very surprising. Had it something to do with Christmas? Was it because of the peace thought? I liked the card very much.
With Christmas we celebrate the birth of Jesus. What do you think of the Christmas thought? Do you like it and how do you celebrate it? Is there also a tradition in Britain? I’m very curious. I think London is very beautiful with Christmas.
In the Netherlands we also celebrate ‘Sint Maarten’. Not everybody in Holland celebrates Sint Maarten, it’s an tradition for Catholics who commemorate the Saint Martinus. It’s celebrated on the 11th of November. The children go along the doors with little lights and ask for candy.
I would like to celebrate Christmas in England some day. Do you wane come to Holland next Christmas? That would me great! Well I hope you’ll write me back en that you can tell me something about the way you have spend your Christmas.
Best Wishes,
Jeannet
