Help

-Everything was new to her as she didn't use to get help.
-Everything was new to her as she wasn't used to getting help.

Are both sentences possible?

the first one doesnt make much sense at all.. the problem seems to be that you want to use "as" to link the two ideas - but the 2 halves of the sentence do not really relate to each other that way ... the ideas seem to be expressed in these ways: the new things were HARD for her as she was unused to asking for help everything was new to her, but she was too (stubborn/proud /shy) to ask for help
