Help!!!

Can anyone explain why this sentence is wrong:

"What did you say was your name?"

and whether or not this sentence is correct:

"He doesn't work as hard as she does."

NOTHING is wrong with sentence 1. was your name", but neither is incorrect. Sentence 2 is also correct.

NOTHING is wrong with sentence 1. It would be more usual to say "...your name was" instead of "...was your name", but neither is incorrect.

Sentence 2 is also correct.
