Hello, this is an ielts writing task 1 test, thank you for checking my mistakes :)

The pie graphs below illustrate the main motives why a certain UK university is chosen by students in 1987 and 2007

Overall, it is clearly seen that suitable degree courses held the largest share of the reasons of students for choosing an UK university. While close to parental home became more popular in 2007 than it was in 1987, the number of students select an UK university as a result of good sports and social activities decreased significantly in 20 years.

Suitable degree courses was the most common reason why students chose an UK university in both years at one in three. In 2007, more students chose an UK university for study because of close to parental home (22%) than they did in 1987. The percentage of students choosing an university due to quality of teaching was just higher than the figure for close to parental home (10%) in 1987, whereas, this figure dropped to roughly a quarter in 2007. The similar pattern can be found in the proportion of students who went to a certain university owning to good sports and social activities with the rate of 19% in 1987 and 6% in 2007. However, the figure for quality resources remained amost stable in 2 years, considering approximately 20% of the total.
