Hello, Is there any one to help in making corrections with my cover letter? am applying for PhD position in molecular toxicology
Dear Prof. *********,
I would like to be considered for your PhD Molecular Toxicology studentship vacancy posted in website (******). I completed Msc. Pharmaceutical sciences from the ********** University (UK) in July, 2013.
I do believe that my experience of undergraduate and Master’s study have prepared me to be a highly qualified individual to carry on further study as a PhD student in Toxicological studies. With a long term journey of (4+1) years in Bachelor’s and Master’s education, I have learned many analytical methods. My Master’s research project was “Identification of expression of Gamma amino butyric acid (GABA) A receptor subunits in brain” by using RT-PCR analysis. I worked under an experienced mentor Dr. *****, she lead my abilities to expertise particularly in designing primers, sampling DNA’s and RNA’s and executing gel electrophoresis for accountable results. Apart from this Bio-chemical analysis, I also got strategic experience in various basic analytical methods like titrations, chromatographic techniques (paper, liquid and ion-exchange) all because of my module (Modern methods in Pharmaceutical analysis) in bachelor’s degree under supervision of Prof. ******8
I was so enthusiastic towards your research program, as the project deals xenobiotic metabolism and de-toxification. To my knowledge, presently there is no standard in vitro model for determining DDI for all drugs. Even with lots of advance, the DDI data for some drugs are negative. I hope with your research goal, we can achieve some accurate model in vitro and contribute our support in drug safety, thereby reducing compound attrition, cost and adverse effects.
With the educational values and analytical experiences that I possess, I believe that I have the capability, and potential to take this PhD position. I am confident that I will be an active, open-minded and useful member and researcher, willing to contribute during my PhD.
