Essay topics: In some countries, some high school leavers are choosing to work or travel for a period of time before going to university. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of those school leavers' decision. Give your own opinion.

It can not be denied that some students have tendency to get a job or go on a trip for some time before their university life. From my point of view, besides the disadvantages, there are some advantages that I believe it will help my life better.

There are several drawbacks for those students who take this selection. Finance is the first principal issue even the big burden. After graduating from high school, most of them do not have enough money for their trip because of not having a stable profession so that demand for financial help from their parents that is inevitable. Next, those young students might take risk owing to their first time exposure to vast society. If they do not have much experience in life, they are able to be taken advantages from bad manners. It is unquestionable problem.

However, this trend also has its indispensable pros. First, this is an awesome opportunity to gain some valuable knowledge and discover what may be useful for them. My friend, for instance, paid a visit to England during his gap year. Spending his time in this country stimulated the development of his English skills and he could speak this language like a native. Next, taking gap year help those students open their relationships, make more friends that plays a crucial role in their career in the fulture.

In conclusion, although there are some disadvantages of this decision, I believe that it is a good chance for them to prepare for a new life ahead instead of being passive.
