Letter Writing
Hello everybody, I'm applying for a traineeship and I would like to have my motivation letter checked out by an english native speaker. If someone could do me this favour, I would be grateful. Greetings, Alberto.
Dear Sirs,
I am a graduate of the University of Bologna with a MA in International Relations. I believe an internship at EPPSA would be an outstanding opportunity for me and I am confident to represent what you are looking for as an intern.
During my academic career, I had the opportunity to study the most important global issues from an economic, social and a political science perspective. I also have a strong theoretical background in the functioning of European Institutions (I have studied EU Law, EU Labour Law and Political System of the EU).
During the collaboration with the online review www.equilibri.net, I could improve my analysis abilities, writing 17 articles concerning social, political and economic issues of various countries (including Brazil, Colombia, Turkey, Bosnia, Slovenia). I learned, during that experience, to correctly focus my researches on the main aspects of complex problems and to correctly analyse them.
I also had the opportunity to work for the Italian Consulate in Saarbrücken (Germany), initially as a trainee and then as a contracted collaborator. During that experience, I could improve my managerial skills, and I learned to be faced with complex problems. I initially collaborated with the various offices of the Consulate as well as directly with the Italian Consul, providing administrative assistance to the Italian citizens living in Saarland, and was then assigned to the organization of an important promotional event, called "Mercato Napoletano". It was, in fact, an Italian/German project, organized by the Italian association "Assocampania", in collaboration with the Italian Consulate, the Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry for Germany and the Provincial Administration of Saarbrücken. In particular, I had to work with the various partners involved in the Initiative, favoring their coordination. I therefore personally organized the advertising and press campaign of the event.
In that occasion, I could really and deeply improve my team-working attitude and organizational skills. I also worked autonomously in a goal-oriented way.
After completing my education, I began to feel a deep interest in environmental problems as a relevant part of a global responsibility scenario, in which we are all involved. Energy and climate change control issues are becoming an always more relevant part of the international debate. Therefore, I think I am now ready to face a bigger challenge, and to actively work in a sector, like the one concerning EU Energy, Climate Change and Environment policies, I am deeply interested in.
I have a very good written and spoken knowledge of English and German and a good command of Portuguese. I am extremely flexible and fast learning. I can work very well both independently and in a team, from any background or culture. I am eager to put my work and academic experience, my excellent computer and research skills, my commitment and genuine interest at the service of your organization, which can be assured of a reliable, hard-working and dedicated intern.

I've made some suggestions for your consideration.
One pattern I see you use is "I could learn...." This is weak, and sort of raises the question that you could have learned, but actually didn't. "Was able to" is better, and implies success, but it is far better just to say " I learned..." or "I used the opportunity to learn "
