Letter Writing

Hello everybody! I write a cover letter for a job position en England. I am not a native English and I am not good in writing motivation letters. Please, can you look through my letter and check any grammar mistakes?

I am extremely interested in this work position and I believe that my academic background and my job experiences allowed me to have a global vision on the ecosystem service valuation and effects of the anthropogenic activities on the environment.

I have recently took a Master in .... in London. This master enabled me to evaluate the diversity of the main marine groups and to propose management measures, understand the grounds of the processes that control the succession and variability of oceanic ecosystems and evaluate the capability to produce resources (biological, geological) of the different oceanic regions.
As my curriculum shows, I have valuable theoretical and practical experience with the assessment of effects of invasive species, anthropic impact on the lithoral communities and the evaluation of ecological quality of the ecosystems ,according the -------- Directive.
In 2008/2009, while I was doing an Erasmus in the University of ......, I collaborated in a PhD project about the ........... This study allowed me to improve the knowledge of the macrofauna. The next year I gained a scholarship Erasmus Placement to be a part of a research on the effect of different types of pollution on the distribution, abundance and community structure of rocky intertidal macroalgae, under the supervision of ...... in the ..... (---------) in ...... This study provided me a global vision on the functioning of algal ecosystems and allowed me to understand the mechanisms responsible for the coastal habitat degradation. During the same year I applied this knowledge to determine which were the geomorphological and hydrological factors that influenced algal composition in two Marine Protected Areas of ...... The results of this work, that can be use as reference for the application of the European Water Framework Directive (WFD 60/2000 UE), were presented in the .........
Due to my interest in the human pressure on marine ecosystems, I took on a work position with the Regional Agency of Environmental Protection as technician. I was responsible for monitoring the ecological quality of coastal waters through ..... methodology (..................). This valuable learning experience also provided me with the necessary tools to understand management and restoration of coastal ecosystems.

This year I resumed my previous work with ..... and his collaborators in ..... institute with a project about ‘.........'. At the time, this study is in preparation to publishing.

My Erasmus experiences allowed me to know different cultures, habits and learning other languages and I consider that these placements were a great way to obtain a excellent first-hand experience on the working world. I have ample social capacities and facilities to initiate, communicate, interact and maintain positive social relationships with others in work and life, acquired traveling, living, working and collaborating with different people from different multicultural environments and countries. Ability to conceptualize and communicate concepts. Effective written communication skills: for essays, research papers, project descriptions and thesis papers..

Regarding other skills, I am extremely computer literate and I possess outstanding command of Surfer, R, ArcGis, Primer and pack office, among others. I am also fluent in English, Spanish and Italian, orally and in writing. I understand that on applying for a work position with a highly regarded institution such as this one, I will be committing myself to excel your expectations in every way. Having in mind my diverse background and my solid work ethic I believe that I can do so.
