Dear Sir or Madam,

I am Nguyen Cong Duc and a student of Pharmaceutical Faculty. Your Student Exchange Program in the beginning of next year is my strong interest which I want to express in this letter. It is my passion to study at an international environment like Appstate especially in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

As a Pharmacy student, graduating with excellent degrees along with actual skills to meet the requirements and work in an international company is always what I mature! There is no doubt that the Pharmaceutical training program in the United States is one of the most advanced program in the world and that is why I believe it will definitely be an invaluable opportunity for me to study there, gaining new perspective of the world, advancing soft skills to interact with people, earning new insights and ideals to improve my work and solve difficulties, consequently, becoming a successful pharmacist will not just exist in my dreams. The ability to handle problems, social skills and study abroad experiences make me a proper candidate for this position.

In July this summer, I have been an exchange student to the University of Ubon Ratchathani
– Thailand, and it was a successful trip. During that time, I have mastered specialist knowledge of Pharmacy including skills of using accurate experiment instruments and techniques to study about chemistry, biology. Actual Pharmaceutical products such as medicine and cosmetic in many forms were made and highly appreciated by teachers! Besides classes, I also grow a very beautiful friendship with many local students and lecturers as well as exchange students all around the world and we have kept in touch all the time. At the University's International Night 2013 party, I took the initiative to prepare, and performed to represent Vietnamese students and our University with the help of 60 other Thai Pharmacy students along with the performances of exchange students from many other countries.

Throughout that month, as maneuvering through uncharted territory using a new language and intercultural skills, I gained my confidence to interact with people, adjust to a new environment and refine decision-making and problem-solving skills which are transferable to and also changed many other aspects of life. Therefore, I am convinced that my study abroad experiences in combination with social skills to leave a good impression to the foreign teachers and students make my candidateship for your program possible.

The ideals about a Pharmaceutical Faculty especially laboratories and the instruments inside as well as researching Scientific Topics were also collected as a part of my mission which I believe it is not the only one but a very valuable way for my faithful teachers to consult and develop the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sicences of our University. That is the reason why I am convinced that if I have a chance to study at Appstate that knowledge when I return will not only be shared with my classmates but also carefully reported the Pharmaceutical Faculty.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my application and I am looking forward to participating in this life-changing experience at your program. If there are any further questions, please contact me at the email address that stated above at any given time!

Yours sincerely, Nguyen Cong Duc.
