Hello, Can anybody check the following for me please?

0 Hello, I just translated a proverb (hopefully I use this word correct here) into English. But not sure whether it is in a good English way or just word by word translation. Can anybody check it and correct it for me please? Many thanks here.02br

00Marriage is like a couple of hedgehogs in hibernation. Staying close, sting; staying far, cold, unless both cut off one side of needles being together, then neither hurt nor cold, but have to bear pain to do so. 0-
