[height] or [heights]

I have made up the examples below.

(1a) Mr. Brown measured his students' heights and used the data to teach them how to do statistics.

(1b) Mr. Brown measured his students' height and used the date to teach them how to do statistics.

(2a) Our heights are not the same.

(2b) Our height is not the same.


I am not sure which form of "height" to use in this case. Please help me. Thank you very much.
