Well I have to write an story about my worse holiday ever, in past simple, continious and perfectFirst of all what is Present Perfect, I forgot it, and second of all you have any ideas??

A Disastrous Holiday
-1) Just a few days ago before Chrismass in 2001 I got a very nice present for my Birthday,
actually the best present I´ve ever got in my entire life. A front/row ticket for
my favourite designer Marc Jacobs.

-2) After the good news, I immediately went upstairs to pack my suitcase, Imagining
what I should wear for the big event. I took all my clothes out of the closet and threw
them on my bed. There wasn´t one fashionable clothing piece between all the big
amount of clothes that I would like to wear.

-3) Trying to be Mary/Kate I wore some clothes on top of each other in front of the
mirror and made a creative a nice outfit, some golden big jewels as a finishing touch
and ´´voila´´ there was my dream outfit.

-4) Today it was the big day. I was going to New York with my mother to visit
a Marc Jacobs fashion show. I dealed very calm about the fact that I was going to a real
fashionshow, because it´s very unproffesional to make a big deal about a single fashion show.

-5) Before leaving we said bye to everybody. As we got into the car, my mother asked me
If I had everything with me. Without checking I answered yes. We just arrived on time at the airport
and quickly before boarding in I bought a choclate bar. After a flight of 7 hours we finally arrived
at the final destination JFK Airport in New York. It´s wasn´t a glamorous entrance, but liveable.

-6) We took a cab to the little hotel near the Central Park, which cost a fortune to book for only three
days. While we were (riding, )heading off) to our hotel I saw the nice side of New york, which included fifth avenue´s sensational expensive boutiques and the bad side, which was the dirty streets all covered with graffiti, unfortunatly next to our hotel.

Well I got your corrected version a bit late but still I'm appreciate, I wrote it like this and this is my whole story

what I should wear for the big event. I took all my clothes out of the closet and threw them on my bed. There wasn´t even one piece of clothing, that was fashionable enough to wear on this event.

Before leaving, we said goodbye to everyone. As we got into the car, my mother asked me, if I had everything with me. Without checking I answered very confidently: yes, of course!!!

While we were heading off to our hotel, I saw the nice side of New York, which included Fifth Avenue’s sensational and expensive boutiques, and of course also the bad side, which were dirty streets covered with graffiti, and sadly next to our hotel.

The minute we stepped into our hotel room, I jumped on my bed and took a short nap. After I had woken up, I refreshed myself with a nice hot bath. At 5 pm, my mother and I went to explore New York for ourselves. When we came back, we had bought a lot of stuff such as souvenirs and bijous. We didn't eat when we came back because we’d already eaten sushi.

We went early to bed, because we were exhausted. I joyfully woke up the next morning and dressed myself as posh and extremely fashionable as I could.

We took a cab to a distant place called York Tire.

As we arrived, all the celebrities were walking on the red carpet. The non-famous people had to walk from the other side into the big glorious building, but before we could go in, we had to show our passports and our ticket. Slowly I took my passport out and then looked for the ticket. For a fraction of a second I was turned to stone, I couldn't find my ticket anywhere. I didn't want to panic before really checking my pockets and bag. My mother even looked at hers. We explained everything to the checker, but he refused to let us in. He told us that we could easily be one of Marc Jacobs groupies who were trying to get in. We did everything we possibly could do, but nothing helped, eventually we had to leave the premises and went back to the hotel.

You couldn’t even imagine how depressed I was, and all for not looking if I had everything, before boarding. My mum even asked me if I had everything…
