"Really did you all/ its my pleasure to read that you all missed me? I cannot even find words to express how I am feeling by not joining you all. The day was very hectic at my end as was something which could not have been avoided my childs competition, annual functions and family functions and all this needed my presence it was so I could not make it up for the meet."
Please help me to frame the above much shorter and with some good words. Its for my status as all my colleagues had a reunion after many years and I could not join them and they all missed me to I do. I want to express my sadness for not joining them and even though I was busy I was just thinking about them,

Thanks a lot and its my pleasure that you all rememberred me. Even I missed you all a lot and do not find words to express how I was feeling that I could not join you all. The day was really hectic the first half being/ there was some family function which could not have been avoided and the later half my child was having some stage performance and it was necessary for me to be with her.
