In a basketball game, I heard

I don't understand 'his arsenal'.

He has an array of shots his arsenal.

I don't think I heard properly. I should be something like this. To give an inch or 2 to'
He gives an inch or 2 to his opponent.
I think he's trying to say 'He is shorter than his opponent by an inch or 2'
