I associate the expression "heap good" with a cartoonish caricature of Native American speech -- "Um white man he got um heap good whisky" kind of thing. I suppose this sort of thing would be considered racist nowadays. (I don't think for a moment that it's intended this way in the Pony cartoon though.)
