Headhunter and how to deal with them?

Hi,

I have had contact to many headhunter recently and apparently I am not used to deal with them. Sometimes they are writing the following sentence:

We have kept your details on our database and I will let you know if
any suitable job opportunities come in.
What does that mean? Is is just politeness or does it mean they are serious about finding a suitable position? It could be both, I reckon.

Kind regards,

Kathrin

Hard to say. It is a standardized phrase, and their eagerness to help you find work will depend on the particular agency and your own qualifications.
